Developing a Marketing Plan is not as difficult as we often think. It’s a matter of developing a system and following it. We have a very simple 3 step marketing plan to help you get started.
Step 1: Logo
First things first. Your Logo is the foundation of your Marketing Plan. It is your business identity. It should reflect your Core Values. It t needs to be created in a format that gives it the ability to be scaled without losing resolution. It should be reproducible, and simply, but not at the expense of style. Your logo is the foundation of your marketing and should be created before all other marketing materials.
Step 2: Brand
Let the branding begin! This is one of the funnest parts of the marketing process! Branding is more than just slapping a sticker on everything, but must be done with the utmost professionalism and with the taste and style that best fits your business or organization. Define your brand CLEARLY! Leverage who you are, be authentic, find a memorable “tag line” or “hook”, and keep it simple. And brand smart knowing when and what branding is the most effective for your business.
Step 3: Promote
Promoting your business is simply how you further the progress of your business. This is very important and the ultimate goal is to stretch your promotional dollar as far as possible. This is the most strategic art of the process and requires the most fore sight.
Develop Buyer Personas. Who are you targeting? Is it young teenage girls, business owners, soccer moms, the elderly? There are all different types of people, with different agendas. Choose the buyer personas that best fit your business & develop a strategic plan for them!
It is also important to know a promotional plan is not just a one time ad placement, it is about thinking CREATIVELY as well as thinking CONSISTENCY. The consumer mind takes time to penetrate. We suggest creating marketing plans that you can sustain consistently over a 6 months to a 1 year period, until you reach your Tipping Point! This where you wanna be and when the momentum really begins to pick up!
